About Warminster Cricket Club

Warminster Cricket Club are a family focussed club based in West Wiltshire. Warminster Cricket Club has a rich history, this year Warminster will be playing in Wiltshire/Gloucestershire Division 1.

We have been living the dream here at Sambourne Road for the past 176 years whoo hoo!!


Warminster Cricket Club was founded in 1838 and has a strong link with the town.

We currently run three Saturday league teams at a variety of standards – the 1st XI in Glos/Wilts west of England premier league, the 2nd XI in division 2 west of England premier league 2nd XI and the 3rd XI in division 6 of the Wiltshire county cricket league. The club also participates in Sunday and mid-week competitions, as well as playing a number of friendly fixtures throughout the season.

The club also runs a thriving mixed youth section at U11, U13 and U15 age groups. The club is clubmark accredited and is proud to uphold the values of being one of the focus clubs within Wiltshire.

During the winter months our clubhouse is used by the local skittles league West Wilts Hockey Club and having a licensed bar is also available to hire for wedding receptions, christenings, birthday celebrations and wakes.

The club also has a two lane purpose built indoor cricket academy which is available to hire throughout the year.
